Explore The Isle of Wight
Sandown is located on the South Eastern coast of the Isle of Wight. It is known for its 5 miles of sandy beaches and for its traditional seafront and pier. Sandown has so many things to see and do including a zoo housed in an old fort and a purpose built interactive Dinosaur Isle. Make a booking there and go on one of their fossil walks taking you onto the beach below where this chalet is situated.
Our holiday chalets are only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the nearest beach and 15 to 20 minutes to Sandown’s Town Centre, where there are once again gorgeous beaches, a pier, shops and restaurants to pick from. You can also catch the bus directly into town which is available at the Holiday Centre site entrance.
Various other fantastic things you can do in Sandown include: The Isle of Wight Zoo, an excellent park and play area 10 minutes walk from the chalet with golf and numerous rides.
The area is ideal for walkers, bike riders & you may stop off if you wish to & have a coffee at one of the cafes as you go along. Additionally there is a local surf school where you can hire surf boards or catch a lesson.
The Isle of Wight Region
The Isle of Wight is one of the most breathtaking regions of Britain.
This diamond-shaped island possesses a magic all of its very own – and it is among the UK’s sunniest and most warm locations. Measuring 23 miles by 13 miles, the Island lies just a ‘short way’ off England’s South Coast.
However no passport is required for your brief sea crossing – and when you have arrived on the Island everything is in reach.
Set in the countryside the vistas are simply magnificent, including Culver Down, a national trust area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
