Explore The Isle of Wight
Sandown is located on the Eastern coast of the Isle of Wight. It is known for its beautiful long stretches of sandy beaches and for its traditional seafront and pier. Sandown has so many things to see and do including a zoo housed in an old fort and a purpose built interactive Dinosaur Museum. Make a booking there and go on one of their fossil walks taking you onto the beach below where this chalet is situated, and go back to the Museum for some light refreshments and food.
From the chalet it is a 5 to 10 minute walk to the neareast beach and 15 to 20 minutes to Sandown’s Town Centre, where there are once again gorgeous beaches, a pier, shops and restaurants to pick from. You can also catch the bus directly into town which is available at the Holiday Centre site entrance.
Various other fantastic things you can do in Sandown include: The Isle of Wight Zoo, an excellent park and play area 10 minutes walk from the chalet with golf and numerous rides and an enormous slide which is all open throughout the High Season.
The area is ideal with walkers, bike riders & you may stop off if you wish to & have a coffee at one of the cafe’s as you go along. Additionally there is a local surf school where you can hire surf boards or catch a lesson.
